The film will premiere on Showtime around Oct/Nov, and then will be released on DVD on 12/28.  It was originally going to be released on DVD on June 15^th but Showtime totally loved the film and came in with a very enthusiastic offer to run it on their network prior to its DVD release.

Here’s hoping they don’t change things once again.

I hope they are going to release the movie at some point. I’ll let you know when I find new information.

So far I wasn’t able to find it anywhere else so I’m not sure this is 100% accurate.

Dry those tears, Private Practice fans, because you may be seeing its recently killed off star, Chris Lowell on the big screen very soon.

Lowell, who played Dell on the ABC medical drama, is in negotiations to join the cast of The Help, alongside Emma Stone, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

In the film, based on the Kathryn Stockett novel, Stone plays Skeeter, an aspiring writer living in 1960s Mississippi, who is unhappy with the social norms and chronicles the way black maids are treated by society. Lowell will play her boyfriend, Stuart. Viola Davis and Bryce Dallas Howard also star.

This season on “Private Practice,” Chris Lowell‘s character Dell hasn’t had an easy ride. His daughter, Betsey, was left motherless after his wife Heather was killed in a meth-lab explosion.

Now, sources close to the show tell Zap2it that Lowell will not be returning to the show for Season 4. Is it possible that Betsey will be orphaned in the May 13 finale?

Lowell’s episode order for Season 3 was cut back from 22 to a minimum of 13 episodes, though he did remain a series regular. Because his appearances on the show have been intermittent at best, it’s not surprising to learn that he’s being phased out for a more permanent absence. Lowell “will be leaving the show after Season 3 and has no plans to return for Season 4,” our source says.

Opening reception for the artist is Saturday, March 13, 2010 from 7 to 9 p.m.

The Dreamers project began in 2008 as an outlet for creative expression among friends – done not for profit or validation but to fill a void within ourselves created by the frustration, excitement, and uncertainty emblematic of youth. Throughout the year of the project, each participant sent numerous art pieces to a post office box in Southern California. Documenting their dreams, both envisioned and realized, this was a tangible means of sharing something intangible – hopes and fears, achievements and setbacks.

At the end of the year, those of us who participated in the project came together from across the globe and immersed ourselves in what had literally become a trunk-load full of dreams. It was an opportunity to hold them up for each other and say, “this is something that came true for me. It is real. You can reach out and touch it if you wish.” It was a celebration.

This is a collection of portraits of the artists in The Dreamers project. They are the young architects of an old idea, and they are my closest friends. These photographs are my dreams. They carry the intimacies of memory and the grandeur of optimism. They are private moments – photographs taken behind closed doors, in old hiding spots, bedrooms, libraries, grocery stores, laundromats – all showcased here for the public eye, for they are also universal moments.
